Formed in 2011, My Age Zimbabwe is a youth led organisation that champions gender equality and the health and rights of young people in Zimbabwe. Anchored in sexual and reproductive health, we advocate for the rights of young people across every aspect of their lives. My Age believes that young people are changing the world today, creating the reality of tomorrow and when given the opportunity and the voice, they speak up, challenge norms, collaborate, and build networks – that will drive positive change in their communities. My Age is working with young people to shift communities in favor of meaningful youth participation because we know young people are key partners in shaping a better future. It’s time to follow their lead.
Through an innovative combination of programs and interventions which include digital conversations, theatre for development, skills strengthening, dialogue with duty bearers, exchange programs including linking young people with opportunities that they need to advance their health, rights, and young people at community, sub national, national and international level.
My Age continues to shape conversation on youth engagement and helps increase the visibility of young people in spaces that mater by identifying national and global platforms for them to contribute equally to the conversation and share their expertise and experiences.
My Age’s comparative advantage is collaboration and partnerships with community leaders, government departments, UN Agencies, Influencers, Networks, Media Houses and other youth-led and youth-serving organizations to elevate young people’s advocacy efforts and voices
