The Alliance for Quality Education in Southern Africa (AQESA) is composed of four Civil Society Organization (CSOs) from Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe namely Girl Child Rights-GCR (lead organization), Alliance for Every Girl in School-EGISA, Faith Arise Community Centre-FACC and My Age Zimbabwe respectively. Would suggest, AQESA is implementing a Six months zero budget Education Out Loud, Global Partnership For Education project, beginning July 2020Girl Child Rights (GCR) is a Mozambican NGO headquartered in Chimoio town, Manica Province, and was founded in 2008. GCR’s vision is a world in which every girl and woman attains the right to protection from violence, abuse and exploitation and its mission is to inspire transformative changes in the manner the world treats girls and women. GCR’s advocacy framework is built on girls and women protection, advancing access to Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and services. In addition, GCR campaign for free provision of sanitary pads and ending harmful practices like child marriage in Mozambique and in the Sub-region covering four countries namely Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, working with 20 CSOs. My Age Zimbabwe is youth led organization that champions youth leadership, participation, gender equality and the health and rights of adolescence and young people. We harness evidence and unite diverse voices to spark commitment to youth related issues Anchored in sexual and reproductive health at local, national, regional and international level. To enhance access to learning and educational outcomes for girls through girls education, ending violence against women and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Every Girl In School Alliance (EGISA) is a Malawian based NGO EGISA’s abilities to influence advocacy and campaigns through alliance and movement building are some of the factors that can be leveraged upon for this project. Faith Arise Community Centre (FACC) has been working with Ministries of Education and Health in Zambia towards the implementation of actions to facilitate the achievement of the ESA Commitments. FACC has been conducting Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Education in Schools as well as distributing free sanitary towels and education on menstrual hygiene management in community schools in Zambia.
